Here we are- 2016! I love the beginning of a new year. Everything is fresh. You can start over by leaving the mistakes and heartache of the past year behind. For me this past year was full of joy and heartache. In ways, it was the best and worse year of my life. I have to focus on all the wonderful things that DID happen in 2015. I have a beautiful gift from God! His heart is healing beautifully! We built a house! My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary! My Charlotte celebrated her 7th birthday! My Ethan celebrated his 9th birthday! And, we are alive! I am constantly reminded how precious life is and how easily this time on earth can be taken from us. I am so thankful for each and every breath my family takes.
We had a wonderful Christmas. Oliver loved the Christmas lights and music. He received Converse crib shoes, toys, clothes, and lots of hugs and kisses from everyone!
I worked on New Year’s Eve and New Years Day. We decided to celebrate the New Year tomorrow. We will be having Auntie Becca come over to celebrate with our yearly tradition of sauerkraut, pork, and mashed potatoes.
Oliver continues to work very hard on rolling. I am thinking about talking to his doctor about increasing the frequency of his therapy. It is just so hard working full time and committing to more appointments.
Oliver receives monthly RSV vaccines. Because of his heart, he can end up really sick or worse if he gets that virus. After a dose of antibiotics, he has recovered from an ear infection. His blood work is perfect- no problems with potassium, thyroid, hemoglobin! Ollie is finally growing! He is officially in 3-6 month clothes!
It is the little things in which we rejoice!
