Tennessee Vacation

It was nice to get away for a long weekend. It was trying riding in the car for 7 hours and hearing the kids fight and complain. I was relieved when we arrived to our Airbnb on top of a mountain. Words can’t describe the view when you are looking out over the Smoky Mountains. Every morning we would wake up to see the different skies and the fog rolling over the mountains. Pure beauty!

View from our Balcony

I am blessed that I am able to travel to new locations and see different places in the US. We visited Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We visited Dollywood, Margaritaville- The Island, and Ripley’s Aquarium. We went hiking, rented a UTV, and ate a ton of food! I can’t believe all the things we were able to do and jammed into our little trip.

Rode through Gatlinburg and Visited Trails

Ripley’s Aquarium

We visit an aquarium every time we go on vacation. We love the sea life. Oliver had to sing “Baby Shark” to the sharks. He was afraid of the penguins! I just love all the colors!

Laurel Falls

The weather was perfect while in TN. It was warm, but not hot. We made time for Oliver to jump in puddles on our hike. I am learning my sweet girl, Charlie, doesn’t like to hike no matter where it is in the US. We did see THREE bears! One was pretty darn close to us.

Oliver’s First Ride at Dollywood (I couldn’t stop laughing at the picture Luke took!)

Dollywood was very pricey, but with it! The Luke and the older kids went and rode rides while Oliver and I stuck to the kid rides and listening to music. If you know Oliver, then you know he LOVED the music. The kid feels it deep down in his soul! He did NOT like his first ride, but did enjoy the other rides. Ethan and Charlie say it is nothing like Cedar Point, but they ran from ride to ride and did ask to go there again on our last day. The lines were short and it was so much fun! Oliver was able to get an accessibility pass. We didn’t have to wait in the lines! So thankful for little things such as that pass!

We started planning our next trip on the way home!
