Tomorrow is Ethan’s birthday! I am so thankful to God that loves and has trusted me to raise Ethan. I can’t believe it has been 18 years!

I find it hard to believe that I have a senior this year. It seems like just the other day Luke and I were celebrating we were pregnant, bringing him home from the hospital, jumping up and down because he took his first steps, celebrating when he wanted to play his first sport and he made his first goal (soccer), and I could go on forever!

I think about him and what he will be like as he continues into adulthood. He has so much more growing up to do. I think we can all look back to high school and think, “wow, if only I knew what I know now I would tell myself this”. There are always things we would do differently. Those things are what makes who we are and can make us into stronger and smarter individuals.
Ethan wants to go to college to wrestle and study business! He is hoping to one day be managing his own general contracting company (probably with his father). It is extremely exciting and nerve wracking trying to find the perfect school for him. One that supports him and teaches him important life lessons. So far, we have looked at Ohio Wesleyan, Pikesville University, Salem University, Adrian University, and MercyHurst. We will have more schools at the end of the season. I am sure of it! Ethan will have to decide what is most important to him when it comes to his education, wrestling, and/or budget. Tough decisions!

I am proud of this young man and all that he has already accomplished! Excited to see what he does this year.
